This Roller Coaster is Coming to a Halt

I feel like I've stepped off a roller coaster. A rickety, wooden, squealy ride that confirms you will eventually be flung from the highest peak at top speed. Although my feet are back on firm ground, the aftermath is jolting. My head is spinning and all I want is to forget that I ever stepped inside the amusement park.

I feel like I’ve stepped off a roller coaster. A rickety, wooden, squealy ride that assures you will eventually be flung from the highest peak at top speed. Although my feet are back on firm ground, the aftermath is jolting. My head is spinning and all I want is to forget that I ever stepped inside the amusement park.

Have you ever been through something so disappointing, frustrating and difficult that you’re not sure how to pick up the pieces?

Thankfully I have my writing and a handful of supportive people in my life to help me come down from this experience. And knowing that I learned a few things helps too. It’s time to move on. I just wish the progress were a bit faster.

In the meantime, I’m working toward a healthier me, yet again. I’m focusing on my nutrition, exercise and mental health more than ever, so that’s a plus, right?

Until next time,
Choose healthy!
Angela
