I’m learning that I’m not great at accepting changes.
People change.
Circumstances change.
Life changes.
Sometimes a shift in the day-to-day routine is a good thing, but sometimes is creates stress, anxiety and situations that are difficult to manage. Over the past two years, I’ve dealt with multiple changes on a variety of levels, including my first experience with deep, unrelenting grief.
I believe things happen for a reason, at a specific time, so I was elated when the opportunity to write a three-part series on self-love popped up in my email inbox. I work though so many feelings and emotions on my keyboard, and now I’m making this particular segment of my life public so hopefully I can inspire others to manage their emotions brought on by things they can’t control.
And, I want readers to know they’re not alone.
Last week the first article my three-part series about self-love and self-care published on the Tom’s of Maine Good Matters blog. Part two and three will publish in the coming months. I’ll update this post with links as the articles go live.
- The Importance of Self-Love, Part 1: Acceptance
- Practice Mindfulness Meditation: The Importance of Self-Love, Part 2
- Find Balance in Life: The Importance of Self-Love, Part 3
I hope you’ll take some time to read through this series and try a few of the techniques or share this post with someone who could use a little direction and guidance through a tough time. Each day I’m making progress and learning new things.
