Who doesn’t love indulgence? If you could snap your fingers and magically be in a luxurious resort surrounded by the people you love, with a fruity drink in your hand and an incredible view in front of you, you’d do it!
OK, back to reality. So, when you can live it up a bit, even in teeny tiny ways, go for it.

The other day I picked up some clearance socks on sale at Walgreens. Hear me out. I know they’re just socks, but it feels like my feet are tucked inside clouds.
They’re soft, thick, stretchy and never too tight at the top. When I looked closer at the label, I noticed they’re called “butter socks”. Yep, they’re smooth as butter and pretty much never coming off my feet until sandal season. (Here’s something similar on Amazon.)
Some days, it’s the little things. Tasty things. Did someone utter peanut butter?
You all know I love to create smoothies. Some taste like muffins, others are green. A few weeks ago some samples of Protein Energy Power™, (Note: This post was updated on July 10, 2019. The company has changed packaging and now goes by Protein Plus.) a peanut-based protein supplement, landed in my mailbox. I’m a sucker for peanut butter, and am always looking for ways to boost my protein intake, so I gave them a whirl in my single-serve blender.
Wow, wee! This protein powder is super yummy and doesn’t have a gritty or fake-sweet flavor like some protein powders. Each serving boasts 17 grams of vegan protein. I’ve tried the original and honey-peanut flavors. Both were fabulous mixed with water, or blended with a banana and some almond milk. These smoothies might become my new afternoon indulgence (they are a bit sweet for breakfast, in my opinion).
So, what tiny ways have you pampered yourself today? Butter socks? Peanut butter? Use the Facebook comment thingy below.
Until next time,
Choose healthy!
