October Reflection: Autumn, Unicorns and Self Care

This month I’ve been reflecting often on the change in seasons, both in nature and in my life. It’s been a hell of a ride, with self-care are the forefront. I’ve focused my energy on my writing and photography this month to help process my emotions.

Fall Writing: Halloween, Skin Care and Cocktails

Since I tackle lifestyle content often for my marketing clients, it’s no surprise that this month I have a few seasonal topics to share.

If you’re having friends over for a warm adult beverage, peek at THIS. And if your skin is screaming from the drier, cool weather, you’ll enjoy THIS post.

I’m Reading About Unicorns

Yesterday I started a new book titled Llewellyn’s Little Book of Unicorns by Angela A. Wix. It’s a purse-size pink friend that is labeled a “guide to rediscovering wonder and happiness”.

The chapters cover topics like reflection, intuitive sight, meditation, inner wisdom, energy clearing and so much more. I’ll be sharing some favorite quotes and ideas from the book on Facebook and Twitter as I keep reading. Stay tuned!

Focusing on Self-Care this Month

Since August, I’ve prioritized taking care of myself above this blog, work and most other tasks. Most of my readers know I unexpectedly moved and divorced this fall, leaving me to reflect on the loss of an almost 16-year relationship and my home. I’ll share more about my self-care process in the future.

Rest assured, I am doing well and moving forward in a healthy way, as confirmed by members of my divorce support group and mental health therapist.

Until next time,
Choose healthy!
Angela
