Hello friends! You may have noticed a little while back I changed the tagline (that’s the fun wording at the top of the page) of the Cupcakes and Yoga Pants website.
It now reads, “Making Healthy Decisions One Day at a Time”.
This update has inspired me to take the blog in a new direction. Going forward, each post will highlight a healthy decision I made that day.
I hope these posts encourage you to make healthier choices — both big and small — each day. Over the years I’ve found that the key to making any sort of change is to be consistent.
Last night I was tempted to order pizza, but instead I got a huge amazing salad. It made me feel better about eating powdered doughnuts and a huge rice crispy bar! Hey, I’m human!
I’ve also been trying to make more time to notice the little things around me. I know I’ve written about it before, but it’s easy to get busy and fall out of that habit. While mindlessly heading out for the day I purposely stopped to admire some flowers in my yard.
And for those who are wondering, my garden is not doing great. I neglected it for a month. Lack of water and weeding has taken a huge toll. But, I have picked ONE tomato. I gave it to my turtles to enjoy!
So, here we go, one day at a time!
