Sometimes you just have to go for it.
This past weekend I enjoyed our local renaissance faire with my husband and a group of friends. I watched the knights on horses participate in a joust, ate fried potato ribbons and walked the grounds visiting pretty much every booth.
It was fantastic.
I know being out in crowds isn’t the smartest choice since I have a weak immune system, but I still have to enjoy life. I can’t decline every single invitation or opportunity.
I took a careful approach by scheduling a 4-hour break in the middle of my day to rest, packed snacks to keep my blood sugar regulated, passed by questionable foods that may have contained gluten and didn’t drink any alcohol.
And, I still had a fabulous weekend!
